I will now sing the two most important verses from the Chaitanya Charitamrita regarding the appearance of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu. His internal reason and external reason. First verse is :-
anarpita-carīṁ cirāt karuṇayāvatīrṇaḥ kalau
samarpayitum unnatojjvala-rasāṁ sva-bhakti-śriyam
hariḥ puraṭa-sundara-dyuti-kadamba-sandīpitaḥ
sadā hṛdaya-kandare sphuratu vaḥ śacī-nandanaḥ
(CC Adi Lila 3.4)
On Gaur Purnima this should be our prayer that Oh Gaur Sundar! Oh combined form of Shyam Sundar… Antar Krishnam Bahir Gauram Darshitangadi Vaibhava, internally He is Krishna and externally He is Gaur..Radha Rani..why? because He wants to distribute the Love of Radha Rani..Darshitangadi Vaibhava. He wants to show everybody the glories of Radha Rani’s Love for Krishna. No one’s love is equal to Radha Rani, not even Krishna’s. Krishna is accepting that love. Radhar Bhava Krishna Korila Angikar Radha Bhave Krishna Karila Harinam Prachar. The Hare Krishna mantra coming from Gauranga’s mouth is not ordinary Harinam. It is not ordinary Harinam. Krishnadas Kaviraj says it is Prem Nam because Radha’s Prem is coming in the form of the Hare Krishna Mahamantra, Radha Dasyam.. Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. On Gaur Purnima day, Hare Krishna Mahamantra becomes even more sweeter because it has come from the mouth of Gauranga Mahaprabhu in Radha Bhaav. Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare/ Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. The whole Love of the Manjaris, Love of Radha Rani, the seva of the Manjaris and the seva of Radha Rani it is there in this Hare Krishna Mahamantra which is given to us by Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Kali kaler dharma namer prachar, taha lagi pita varna Chaitanya avatar.. taha lagi pita varna Chaitanya avatar..Kali kaler dharma namer prachar taha lagi pita varna Chaitanya avatar.
The Golden form of Gauranga
Why did you bring Nityananda why did you bring Advait why did you bring Gadadhar why did you bring Srivas so that you can distribute this Prem Nam to every soul. Premer vanya, flood of Prem comes from the Nam that is why today on Gaur Purnima we dont’t have the resources to do abhisheka but the real abhisheka is Nam abhisheka. When you drown ourself in Gauranga Nam then we are actually bathing the Lord with the sound vibration of His Holy Name. Sometimes when we bathe the Lord with the milk, then we forget to see the Lord’s form we don’t internalize it. We do it only externally that is why in Bhakti Rasamrita Sindhu it is said that the highest worship is manasi seva. Bathe the Lord in your mind. See how the milk is flowing in his body, golden body of the lord. He is sitting on the sinhasan on the banks of the Ganga. Very mild breeze is blowing. Pawan mandh sugandh sheetal hem mandir shobitham nikata Ganga bahut nirmal Sachi natha Vishvambharam. We can sing together. Mayapur Chandra Vishvambharam.. Navadvipa Chandra Vishvambharam..Gaur Sundar Vishvambharam.. Pawan mandh sugandh sheetal hem mandir shobitham nikata Ganga bahut nirmal Sachi natha Vishvambharam… Nilambar Chakrabarty when he saw the horoscope of the Lord Gauranga then he saw the whole creation. Not even this universe, the whole creation in the heart. So he said what name I can give to this child. This child is the source of the whole creation. What name can I give to this child. Whole creation is coming from him. So Nilambar Chakrabarty said only name I can give to this child is Vishvambhara. Vishvambhara Vishvambhara. He is maintaining the whole vishva. Ambhara means to maintain to carry Vishvambhara, that is the name of Gauranga Mahaprabhu. Some ladies said no he is crying a lot and when we say Hari Hari Hari, then he stops crying. Haribol Haribol Haribol then he stops crying. We will call him Gaur-Hari. Gaur Hari Gaur-Hari Gaur-Hari. Beccause there is no difference in his curly hair and Krishna’s curly hair. Krishna also has the red bimba lips and he is dancing just like natkhat natkhat Krishna, mischievous Krishna. Nimai is also dancing like that we will call him Gaur-Hari. Golden doll.. Golden doll dancing in the name of Hari..Haribol. Bol means what everyone take the name of Hari. That is his mission. So Gaur-Hari. Ohhhh some ladies said, Sachi mata said I will call him Gauranga. Gauranga. Why Sachi mata, Sachi mata said every limb of his body is so well formed it is so delicate it is so perfect, it is putting Brahma to shame. Every form of his body is so beautiful so beautiful so beautiful. Everything is golden, hands are golden, feet is golden, legs are golden, his stomach is golden everything is golden, Gauranga. Anga means limbs. Gauranga Gauranga…Gauranga boliya, na genu galiya kemone dhoritam de. If the heart is not melting by saying Gauranga then what is the use? If you are not seeying the golden form of Hari by saying Gauranga then something is really wrong with you. Who is seeying? Are you seeying? Gauranga, that form should come in front of your eyes. Gauranga, even his dhoti is yellow. Gauranga, yellow dhoti yellow body. So beautiful. This is real Gaur Purnima. Gaur Purnima means to see the Lord. Gaur avirbhava, avirbhava means to reveal to appear.
The Holy Name Reveals Everything
Today is Gaur avirbhava tithi, means to reveal. How did he reveal unless we see him? premanjana-cchurita-bhakti-vilocanena santaḥ sadaiva hṛdayeṣu vilokayanti yaṁ Gaursundaram acintya-guṇa-svarūpaṁ govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi Gauranga ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi. What a great mercy on the kaliyuga souls that Radha and Krishna yugal themselves have come in this gross kaliyuga. And to show their real mercy they have brought Balaram, Nityananda. So such a beautiful day today. Actually it proves that wherever you are in this world you can celebrate Gaur Purnima by the Holy Name, the sound vibration. If you are in Mayapur also but you are not absorbing in the sound vibration then you are not in Mayapur. Then you are not in the real Mayapur Dham. But if you are anywhere but if you are seeying him through the sound śrutekṣita-patho nanu nātha puḿsām, praviṣṭaḥ karṇa-randhreṇa svānāṁ bhāva-saroruham. Holy Name is entering into our ears, the Name of Gauranga, on his appearance day and that should reveal everything. Gaur naam hoye galar hara, one devotee says I will wear the necklace of Gaur Naam always in my neck. How he is walking like a maddened elephant. sada sphuratu vah saci-nandanah. Let that Sachinandana manifest in my heart like maddened with the love of Radhika. He is brushing his face in the wall of Gambhira in separation. Sometimes he is fainting on the ground, sometimes he is like a tortoise he becomes very small, sometimes elongated like long.. Let that form of Gauranga appear in my heart by the mercy of my ishta-dev Nityanandachand. Chaitanyera kripa vaisa jihvaya..tomara karuna vina gaur nahi paya jadi gaur tumi bhaja shata janma hiyaya. In your heart if you worship Gauranga for one hundred lives still you will not attain Gauranga without the mercy of Nityanandachand, Nityananda. So we are celebrating Gaur Purnima also because of Nityananda’s mercy. Just like the dham is Nityananda the Naam is also Nityananda, name nityananda tumi rupe nityananda; ei tumi nityananda rupa murtimanta.. So you are the giver of the Gauranga Naam. When Gauranga left this world Nityananda told maya to take away the wheel of maya which is covering the Gaur tattva Gaur lila Gaur Naam Gaur dham, everything appeared in this world by the mercy of Nityananda. gaur nam gaur dham gaur rupa-guna; aparadha nahi mane tarite nipuna. Such mercy has come to us.
Cut the Cycle of Birth and Death in This Life Only
We are born in this kaliyua, the same kaliyuga when Nityananda Gaur have come and Radha Krishna have come as Gauranga and Balaram have come as Nityananda in the same kaliyuga. How lucky we are because next time they will be coming only after 8.64 billion years. How many births we will be taking by that time. What is the guarantee that we will be born in that kaliyuga. No guarantee no guarantee no guarantee. That is why Krishna Das Kaviraj is saying finish your life finish your cycle of birth and death in this life because this is the golden chance. You will not get this chance again. e-vanyaya ye na bhase, sei jiva chara koti-kalpe kabhu tara nahika nistara. The ocean of love is in front of us now because we are born in this kaliyua and if we dont drown in this ocean then it may take many many.. you know koti means 10 million kalpas. Millions of kalpas and one kalpa is 8.64 billion years. Imagine Gaurchandra bhagavan has come the moon became ashamed so he got covered by the eclipse, lunar eclipse, because the Gaursundar was much much much beautiful than the moon. Because in the moon there are spots there are dots there are black black thing but in Gauranga’s form there are no dots there are spots, very very beautiful. Gaur chandrama. One of my favourite verses is from Chait=anya Chandramrita –
aananda-lilaa-maya-vigrahaaya
hemaabha-divya-cchavi-sundaraaya
tasmai mahaa-prema-rasa-pradaaya
chaitanya-chandraaya namo namas te (11)
aashaa yasya pada-dvandve chaitanyasya mahaaprabhoh
tasyendro daasavad bhaati kaa kathaa nripa-kitake (96)
If somebody develops attachment or some desire to attain the lotus feet of Gauranga Mahaprabhu then Indra becomes like an insect in front of that person. What to speak of the rich man of this world they will all come, Indra will become like insect. So we have to develop Chaitanya Chandra charane kuruta anuragam.. We have to develop spontaneous raag, raganuga bhakti, for the lotus feet of Gauranga Mahaprabhu then Radha and Krishna are very very close.
gaurangera madhura-lila, jar karne praveshila
hridoya nirmala bhelo tar
shri-gauda-mandala-bhumi, jeba jane cintamani,
tara hoy braja-bhume bas
gauranga-gunete jhure, nitya-lila tare sphure,
se radha-madhava-antaranga

Make Gauranga Appear by His Name
What a simple way to attain Krishna. It is a very easy way to attain Krishna. You live at home or in the city or you live in the forest like we are living.. grihe ba vanete thake, ‘ha gauranga’ bo’le dake.. just say Ha Gauranga, call out to Gauranga wherever you are staying does not matter. Just like we called out his name so beautifully. I think this is one of my best Gaur Purnimas even though I am not doing in Mayapur because we said Gauranga. I felt that Gauranga is standing here, I felt that Gauranga has appeared here. Have all of you felt that? I think everyone of you were smiling. So I could understand Gauranga has come. So that is Gaur Purnima to make Gauranga appear by his name and then we fall down at his feet and say give me the pure Hare Krishna Mahamantra, give me Radha-dasyam, give me the shuddh naam.

You dont get anything without asking in kaliyuga. Without asking you dont get anything so you have to ask give the me shuddh naam O Gaursundar, Gauranga you are the personification of naam, prem ras, give me the shuddh naam.

Nityananda gives Gauranga Who gives Radha Krishna
So grateful that premnaam if you get from Gauranga then the whole nitya-lila will appear before your eyes. Just now when I said Rama I felt I saw Radha and Krishna sleeping near Pavan sarovar. Now is the evening time, Pavan sarovar is a big tower where Radha and Krishna meet secretly at 8’clock before the shayan lila. So Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. If one has faith everything is revealed in the name. So today we may not be celebrating Gaur Purnima in Mayapur dham but mentally we are there. When we remember his form, we remember his pastimes like in 15 minutes we did Gauranga’s vibration, the name of Gauranga then from the first name to the last name it was like all the pastimes of Gauranga chronologically going in front of my eyes. He became a child then he got married, he left home became sannyasi then he came to Shantipur then he came to Jagannath Puri. Everything was going in front of my eyes so beautifully. That is a power of Gauranga’s name. That is why one of the first book I published in my life after I became sannyasi was the top 100 names of God. Remember small book? That was the 100 names of Gauranga of all his pastimes. Jahnavi is coming on 7th. She knows all the 100 names by heart. We will have our kirtan team ready on 7th, mridannga and everything. Sorry today we didn’t have the mridannga, without mridannga kirtan is incomplete. I am so surprised in my life today I feel that after searching for Nityananda in the whole world we have come here and instead of getting Nityananda we have got Gauranga. This is the mercy of Nityananda. Nityananda gives Gauranga gives Radha Krishna. Heno Nityananda vine bhai Radha Krishna paite nai. In this place we came for Nityananda but Nityananda said celebrate Gaur Purnima. Like he went to Jagai and Madhai, Nityananda knows his name is more merciful because it does not consider offences but Nityananda did not tell, Nityananda said chant the name of Gauranga once. That is Nityananda’s nature always giving credit to others. And Jagai Madhai were totally delivered because of him but…”my Gauranga delivered you”, giving credit to his brother always. Jiva goswami in Navadvipa – “Nityananda don’t send me away. I don’t want to go to Vrindavan. I want to stay at your lotus feet. Wherever you lotus feet are, that is Vrindavan.O Nityananda! He Nityananda!”. He fainted. Nityananda said “no Jiva. Go to Vrindavan. Go to Rupa, Sanatan. Your seva is there, your nitya-seva.”. You know before Jiva came Nityananda was waiting “Jiva..Jiva..Jiva..”, chanting the name of Jiva. Everybody said who is Jiva. But still was willing to give up Jiva’as association. “Jiva you go to Vrindavan”, how can Nityananda leave Jiva. Nityananda is always there as paramatma in our heart. He never leaves the jiva, the soul. But he is sending the Jiva – “go to Vrindavan”. When I meditate on Nityananda’s name I see his form I see his mercy but then suddenly Nityananda’s name takes me to my kunja. I tell Nityananda why are you sending me to the kunja, I want to see your form for sometime, let me see your form let me see your pastimes. But Nityananda says “no, go to your kunja do your seva”. Nityananda is so selfless and today he is giving us Gauranga. If he had not come 13 years ago then Gauranga would have never come. If Advait Acharya would not have come then Nityananda would not have come, if Nityananda would not have come then Gauranga would not have come. Nityananda was praying. So he is the cause, Gauranga’s every activity. So today we are celebrating Gaur Purnima, I think this is our one of the first Gaur Purnima in the mood of Vrindavan Das Thakura. What Vrindavan Das Thakura said?
sarva-bhave swami jena haya nityananda
tanra haiya bhaji jena prabhu gauracandra
(CB 1.9.231)
Sarva-bhave means by all means in all ways my Lord my swami my master is Nityananda and with this mood in my heart with this pride in my heart with this connection in my heart, I am worshipping the master of my master. The master of Nityananda, his name is Gaurachandra. This is the philosophy of Nityanandabhakti which I am teaching to this world. If Nityanandabhakti is not right, this word is used ‘bhaji’; bhaji means bhakti.. tanra haiya bhaji jena prabhu gauracandra.. You want more proof?
amara prabhura prabhu shri gaurasundar
e bada bharasa citte dhari nirantar

Constantly I will never think that Gauranga is my Lord, I will think that Gauranga is the Lord of my Lord. Why? Because Gauranga himself says “my devotees are not my devotees but the devotees of my devotees are my topmost devotees.”
ye me bhakta-janah partha,
ne me bhaktas cha te janah
mad bhaktanam cha ye bhaktas,
te me bhaktatama matah
Nityananda Grants Our Svarupa
Topmost devotees. So how do I am guaranteed that I will get Gauranga’s lotus feet? by accepting ‘sarva-bhave’ with all ways accepting Nityananda as my swami, my master then I will get everything I want. I will get Radha Krishna in the nikunja I will get Radha Krishna in Radha Kund. Before Gauranga came to Radha Kund Nityananda came. And manjari bhava majnari prem our swarupa because the soul has come from Nityananda so Nityananda knows the swarupa. Every soul has come from Nityananda tatastha-shakti we are the marginal energies we are not the nitya-siddhas. And the tatastha-shakti according to Jaiva Dharma we were never in Goloka we were never in the nitya lila. Where we have come from? From the body of Nityananda in the tatastha lime. So who knows our swarupa? Nityananda. Who can give our swarupa?
Bhava is Needed To See The Lord In Our Heart

Radha’s mantra is given, Gauranga’s seva Gauranga’s bhakti Gaur Purnima it is all Nityananda. I am so happy today so much peaceful here. We can internalize Gauranga in our heart. I am very very grateful for all of you to celebrate Gaur Purnima, come from so far so costly flight. We cannot very big things, big big abhisheka, big big flower decorations you know big big mahaprasad. We are all weak in fasting but we can have the bhava. Bhava is important to see Gauranga in our heart today. sada hridaya-kandare, kandare means the cave, the cave of our heart the dark cave of our heart, the rocks the internal part of our heart, the core of our heart if Gauranga appears there by the mercy of Nityananda then sada harindu harindu harindu will arise otherwise every year we do Gaur Purnima, every year it goes. But if the Lord does not rise in our heart then what is the use of Gaur Purnima. The form of the Lord shoud rise in our heart and our sins should fall like the coconut fall. See, Gauranga is saying yes that’s why the sound came. I thought it is silence how can there be confirmation. The confirmation came in the form of coconut. So Gauranga is listening to us. Nityananda is listening Radhe Shyam are also here. So we will end by reading the 108 name of Gauranga. Anybody who chants, Sarvabhauma Bhattacharya has (Brihaspati Indra’s Guru) composed the names. They have to be chanted on Gaur Purnima, if you chant on Gaur Purnima there are lots and lots of benefits spiritual benefits are there. So you can please repeat after me, welcome Gauranga to our heart so that we can fulfil his desire.

Somebody who reads this stotra with faith, all the sins are finished. One will get a prema-bhakti without any doubt. And what happens if we do this on the day of phalguni-purnima? (continues to chant the phala-sruti..) It is said on the day of phalguni-purnima on the day of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s appearance if somebody recites this maha-stotra with full faith then whatever one desires will be fulfilled. So all of you know what is my desire. Maybe all of us have the same desire. Let us pray to Gauranga that this desire will be fulfilled. next line is not for us because we are not married.
Those who chant this maha-stotra on Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s appearance day , if they are family grihasthas they do not have any child they will get a vaishnava child and those who do not want a child they will remember Chaitanya Mahaprabhu at the last time of their death that is the benediction of chanting this 108 names. So thank you very very much.
